Admission to ASU
To join Adyghe State University a prospective student should:
- Fill in the online application form
- Submit the scans of the travelling passport and a copy of the educational documents of the appropriate level in English or in Russian to an admission officer by e-mail: international_asu@mail.ru
- Receive the official answer about your admission to the University within 2 weeks.
- Send your contact information (postal address and phone number) to the admission officer and receive the Visa Support Letter and Official Letter of Admission within 2 months after approval.
- Apply for a student visa and legalize your educational documents.
- Purchase a ticket and send your arrival information to the admission officer not later than a week before your arrival.
- Upon arrival to the University campus submit all the necessary educational documents legalized in a proper way, travelling passport, 12 recent color photos (3 x 4), an original medical certificate that proves HIV-negative result taken within the last 30 days, certificate of health, Vaccination certificate (for diphtheria, tetanus, measles, hepatitis virus, rubella)..
- Sign the Student Agreement and pay the tuition fee for the first academic year (refundable) to the university bank account.
An application will not be considered by the Admission Office until it is deemed complete (i.e. receipt of all the necessary transcripts and supporting documents)
Educational documents for admission and requirements for the submitted documents
Pre-University Course (1 academic year)
To enter a university, an applicant should submit the following documents by e-mail:
- A copy of the Education Certificate that verifies the Secondary School level (including academic transcript: the list of studied subjects, grades and marks) in English or Russian.
- A copy of travelling passport.
On arrival to the University an applicant shall submit the following documents:
Pre-University course:
- The original of the Education Certificate that verifies the High School level \ Bachelor\ Master degree (including academic transcript: the list of studied subjects, grades and marks) legalized accordingly.
- A copy of the legalized Education Certificate that verifies the High School level (including academic transcript), translated into Russian and certified by Russian notary services. It is recommended to have documents translated and notarized in the Embassy of the Russian Federation in your country. Note that spelling of the names in the translated documents should agree with one in the entrance visa.
- A copy of international (travelling) passport translated into Russian and certified by Russian notary services.

[1] Depends on the country that issued educational documents (a Consular Legalization or an Apostille). Every student is responsible for validity and legality of all the documents and data submitted to the University. During the first year of study he/she is obliged to follow the procedure of evaluation of his/her educational documents to determine the equivalence of his/her national educational documents to Russian educational standards and get the Certificate.(see the following link http://obrnadzor.gov.ru/en/nostrification/ )
Bachelor’s Degree (4 academic years) / Specialist Program (5 academic years)
To enter the university, an applicant shall submit the following documents by e-mail:
- A copy of the Education Certificate that verifies the High School level (including academic transcript: the list of studied subjects, grades and marks) in Russian.
- A copy of travelling passport.
- A documentary proof of the Russian language proficiency (if any).
Upon arrival to the University an applicant shall submit the following documents:

- Successful results of the entrance tests (the Russian language and major subjects proficiency).
Master’s Degree Program (2 academic years)
To enter the university, an applicant shall submit the following documents by fax or e-mail:
- A copy of the Education Certificate that verifies the Secondary School level (including academic transcript: the list of studied subjects, grades and marks) in Russian.
- A copy of the Bachelor’s Degree Certificate (including academic transcript: the list of studied subjects, grades and marks) in Russian.
- A copy of travelling passport.
- A documentary proof of the Russian language proficiency (if any).

- The original of the Bachelor’s Degree Certificate (including academic transcript: list of studied subjects, grades and marks) legalized in a proper way.
- A copy of the legalized Bachelor’s Degree Certificate (including academic transcript), translated into Russian and certified by Russian notary services. It is recommended to have documents translated and notarized in the Embassy of the Russian Federation in your country. - Certificate of evaluation of his/her educational documents to determine the equivalence of his/her national educational documents to Russian educational standards and get the Certificate (see the following link http://obrnadzor.gov.ru/en/nostrification/ )
- A documentary proof of the Russian language proficiency (if any).

- Successful results of the entrance tests (Russian and interdisciplinary exam)
Postgraduate Degree Programs (4 academic years)
To enter the university, an applicant shall submit the following documents by e-mail:
- A copy of the Master’s Degree Certificate (including academic transcript: the list of studied subjects, grades and marks) in Russian.
- A copy of the travelling passport;
- A documentary proof of the Russian language proficiency (if any).
Upon arrival to the University an applicant shall submit the following documents:
- The original of the Master’s Degree Certificate (including academic transcript: the list of studied subjects, grades and marks) legalized accordingly.
- A copy of the legalized Master’s Degree Certificate (including academic transcript) translated into Russian and certified by Russian notary services.
