The 60th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War

On May 4, 2005, the Military Department of ASU presented a special military and sports show dedicated to the 60th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

 

At the beginning of the event, Colonel Victor Chirkov, Head of the Military Department, greeted the participants and the audience. Then followed a joint performance of the students of the Military Department and the servicemen of the 131st Mechanized Infantry Brigade commanded by Captain Lepyoshkin.

The soldiers demonstrated the technique of hand-to-hand fighting, using lots of pyrotechnics and sound effects. The students of the Military Department marched past the ASU building, and the military orchestra of the 131st Mechanized Infantry Brigade, conducted by Major Fyodorov, entertained the spectators with their bright musical performance.

The event was closed by Rashid Khunagov, ASU President, who congratulated everybody on the approaching Victory Day.
