On May, 22, 2005, the representatives of ASU Student Government arrived at Lysaya Polyana - the favorite getaway place of Maikop townspeople - to spend several hours collecting the litter left by negligent holiday-makers. The purpose of the action was to draw public attention to the ecological problems of the community. The students stuffed 10 garbage-bags with various litter, which they carried to the nearest garbage container. The cleaners spent the rest of the day relaxing, playing games, and enjoying the clean surroundings.
