On May 27, the Department of Foreign Languages celebrated its 30th anniversary with a grand reunion party. The guests had been arriving since early morning, and by 11 a.m. the university grand assembly hall had got crammed full.

The 4th All-Russian Conference, "Problems of Regional Onomatology", dedicated to the centenary of Yusuf Namitokov, famous Adyghe public figure and educator, is taking place May 24-27 at Adyghe State University.

At 2:30 p.m., in ASU grand assembly hall, the graduates of higher education establishments of Adygheya will meet A.M. Zhade, Minister of Science and Education of Adygheya, R.D. Khunagov, President of ASU, and representatives of the republic and city administration. The issues to be discussed at the meeting are the problems of recruitment for general education establishments in the Republic of Adygheya.

May Day holidays ended in triumph in Moscow for the students of French-English Program of Foreign Languages Department. On May 4-6, Yana Mazalova, Oksana Ternovskaya, Rusanna Tuova, Vladimir Loskutov and Anrei Shtelmah, led by their professor in French Saida Nourbievna Khut, participated in the 4th All-Russian Festival of Amateur Drama Clubs for Learners of French "Minstrel - 2004".
