Major Programs and Grants

In 2000-2004, the research work in ASU was done within the following programs and grants:

“Research, methodic, material, technical and informational provision for the system of education” – 1 project (2000); 3 projects (2001); 3 projects (2002), 1 project (2003). The amount of allocated money is 1443 thousand rubles.
“Research, methodic, material and technical provision for the system of ecological education” – 1 project (2000). The amount of money allocated is 100 thousand rubles.
“Research, methodic, material and technical provision for the development of the technology of informational society and industry of education” – 2 projects (2000); 1 project (2001), 1 project (2002). The amount of allocated money is 350 thousand rubles.
“Governmental support for the regional research and technological policies of higher educational institutions and the development of their research potential” – 2 projects (2001), 3 projects (2002), 2 projects (2004). The amount of allocated money is 820 thousand rubles.
“Higher school research in priority spheres of science and technology” – 1 project (2000), 1 project (2001), 1 project (2002), 1 project (2003), 1 project (2004). The amount of allocated money is 320 thousand rubles.
Federal program of education development – 1 project (2002). The amount of allocated money is one million rubles.
“Creation of the integrated automated information system” – 1 project (2001). The amount of allocated money is 800 thousand rubles.
Competitive selection for special financial support of the Ministry of Education for the development of research equipment – 1 project (2004). The amount of allocated money is 1,200 thousand rubles.
“Ministry of Education unified contract” – 6 projects (2000), 3 projects (2001), 3 projects (2002), 3 projects (2003), 4 projects (2004). The amount of allocated money is 2 million rubles.
“Governmental support for the integration of higher education and fundamental research” – 1 project (2001). The amount of allocated money is 200 thousand rubles.
“The Russian Language” – 2 projects (2001), 1 project (2004). The amount of allocated money is 350 thousand rubles.
“Children of Russia. Forming tolerant consciousness and preventive measures against extremism in the Russian society” (2001-2005) – 1 project (2002). The amount of allocated money is 275 thousand rubles.
“Fundamental research of higher educational institutions in nature studies and humanities. Universities of Russia” – 2 projects (2000), 2 projects (2001), 1 project (2003). The amount of allocated money is 292,6 thousand rubles.
Russian fund for fundamental research – 1 project (2000), 1 project (2001), 3 projects (2002), 1 project (2004). The amount of allocated money is 995 thousand rubles.
Russian fund for humanitarian research. – 1 project (2003). The amount of allocated money is 90 thousand rubles.
“The development of the educational systems in the south of Russia” – 4 projects (2002). The amount of allocated money is 36,9 thousand rubles.
Mega-project “The development of education in Russia”. The program “Higher education” – 1 project (2002), 1 project (2003). The amount of allocated money is 266,16 thousand rubles.
Grant for promoting post-graduate research. Sociology – 1 project (2003), 1 project (2004). The amount of allocated money is 100 thousand rubles
Federal program “Culture of Russia”. Subprogram “Support for book printing and publishing in Russia” – 1 project (2004). The amount of allocated money is 60 thousand rubles
“Governmental program for support and development of research in Adygheya in 2001-2004” – 10 projects. The amount of allocated money is 235 thousand rubles.
Governmental program “Preservation and development of state languages in Adygheya in 2001-2003” – 1 project (2003). The amount of allocated money is 30 thousand rubles.
“Gifted children” program financed by the Ministry of Education of Adygheya – 1 project (2004). The amount of allocated money is 290 thousand rubles.
Contracts with the Ministry of Education and Science of Adygheya, Emergency Control Ministry, “Vodokanal” Municipal Enterprise, “Adygpromstroy” Company and other organizations – 1 project (2000), 6 projects (2002), 8 projects (2003), 10 projects (2004). The amount of allocated money is 1625.4 thousand rubles
Federal experimental site of the Russian Ministry of Education – 1 project. The amount of allocated money is 1443 thousand rubles.
Municipal experimental site of the Russian Ministry of Education – 2 projects(2004). The amount of allocated money is 2,7 thousand rubles.
Municipal experimental site of the Ministry of Education of Adygheya– 18 projects (2000), 20 projects (2001), 23 projects (2002). The amount of allocated money is 3330 thousand rubles.

The results of one fundamental unified research contract and five applied research programs financed by the Ministry of Science of Russia have been implemented in the economy of Adygheya.

Much attention was paid to the programs of academic and international mobility as an effective mechanism of the support and development of research potential, integration into the world research community. In 2000-2004, 14,617 million rubles were received from various international funds. The cooperation of ASU with Soros Foundation, Fulbright Foundation, IREX (International Research and Exchange Board), Volkswagen Foundation, DAAD, William and Flora Hewlit’s Foundation, etc. enabled professors, students and post-graduates to participate in competitive research and educational programs of study and work abroad.

In 2004, four senior students of the Foreign Languages Department were enrolled in the DALF program.

In 2001, eight people participated in PhD programs abroad:

Four faculty members specializing in Linguistics spent a year in the USA on IREX exchange programs.
Professor A. Shadzhe, specializing in Philosophy, spent a month in Bonn University on DAAD program (Germany, November 2001)
P. Koval, post-graduate student of the Chair of Theoretical Physics of Physics Department worked for a year in Kassel University (Germany)
N. Neflyasheva, Ph.D. participated in Religious Studies program within Summer Academy in Turkey, organized by the USA, Germany, Great Britain, Holland and Turkey.

Three students of the Foreign Languages Department graduated from the program “Small Sorbonne” at Moscow State University and received the diplomas.

Student exchange:

Two students of the Foreign Languages Department studied Linguistics for one semester at William Paterson University, New Jersey.
Thirty-three students studied the foreign language abroad.
R. Tsiku, student of Economics Department, studied Economics for ten months in Lucerne (Switzerland).
A student of Economics Department studied Methods of Teaching German in the university of Lucerne (Switzerland)
Two students of Foreign Languages Department studied International Communication in the universities of the USA on ACTR/ACCELS program.

The joint project of ASU and Kuban State University - “Classical Universities of Kuban and Adygheya in United Informational and Educational Space” – has won an international grant in the competition held by Open Society Institute of the Soros Foundation.

The contract between ASU (Nature Studies Department) and State Museum of Nature (Herlitz) was signed.

D. Mirzov received an invitation to work as a researcher at the Institute of Mathematics of Czech Academy of Science from September 1, 2005 till August 31, 2006.
