Physics students from the Adyghe State University took part in the international summer school on Information Technology

The IV International Summer School for Young Scientists “Modern Information Technologies for Solving Scientific and Applied Problems” was held from June 29 to July 1 at the Information Center of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) at K. L. Khetagurov North Ossetian State University (NOSU).

The school was organized jointly by North Ossetian State University (NOSU), the
Joint Institute and the Information Center of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in the South of Russia at North Ossetian State University (NOSU). Students of the Faculty of Engineering and Physics of the Adyghe State University Sofia Aliyeva and Bogdan Malinka took part in the school.

For three days, the participants of the school mastered theoretical and practical knowledge. The program of the event included lectures by researchers from the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) and North Ossetian State University (NOSU), as well as tutorials in the group – the so-called tutorials with a step-by-step explanation of the algorithm of actions to achieve the desired result. 

“We want to give our students an idea about modern computing, parallel and distributed computing, big data analytics, artificial intelligence, so that young people are ready for the global challenges of our time,” stressed the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Summer IT School at North Ossetian State University (NOSU), Director of Information Technology Laboratory of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR), Doctor of Technical Sciences Vladimir Korenkov.

At the end of the school, the organizers awarded prizes to the brightest students who were actively involved in learning, asked the most interesting questions and proved to be active participants in practical classes. Our children were warmly welcomed and provided with comfortable living conditions. It was very interesting and informative for the students to attend lectures and tutorials, and acquaintance with the culture of North Ossetia brought a lot of positive emotions.
