The forum was held on 17-18 December in Cairo. The organizer was the Federal Agency for the Affairs of the UIS, compatriots living abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Russian cooperation).
“We are very proud of the graduates of Russian and Soviet universities and consider this area to be one of the key ones in terms of developing humanitarian relations between the Russian Federation and foreign countries” said Pavel Shevtsov, Deputy Head of Russian cooperation.
He stressed that Egypt was not chosen by chance as the venue for the forum, being one of the leading states both on the African continent and in the Arab world. Within the framework of the forum, Susanna Tlekhatuk spoke about aspects of international activity and key directions of development of the Adyghe State University.
Today, about 12,400 students from Egypt study at various higher educational institutions in Russia, and their number is constantly growing. As the rectors of leading Russian universities note, the interest is mutual. In order to further increase the flow of students from Egypt to Russia, Russian universities together with local partners, they create preparatory faculties, where students receive the necessary knowledge of the Russian language so that they can enter Russian higher education institutions with confidence.
