In the year of the 85th anniversary of Adyghe State University, a special project was launched - a series of meetings with outstanding graduates. The first guest was a man whose name is known to all of Adygea - a man of great talent, a big soul and sincere devotion to art, People's Artist of Russia, Honorary Doctor of ASU Murat Kukan , who, by the way, is also celebrating an anniversary this year!
 
Murat Kukan is a 1972 graduate of ASU (then ASPI), whose philological faculty, according to his recollections, was a special place. There was an atmosphere of creativity here, and the students were burning with art. Dean Nikolai Arkadyevich Khanzhiev supported their desire for self-expression, understanding that he was nurturing extraordinary talents. After ASPI, Murat Rashidovich entered the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography, where his path as a professional artist began. Being the artistic director of the National Theater of the Republic of Adygea named after I.S. Tsey Murat Kukan continued his acting career. Now he has more than 150 roles in classical and national productions under his belt.  

At a meeting with students of the Institute of Humanitarian Knowledge and Culture of ASU, the honorary guest spoke about his creative path, sharing with the youth the secrets of professional mastery.
 
"The main thing in the profession is to remain human ," Murat Rashidovich shared with the students.
 
Murat Kukan performed his favorite songs at the meeting, and the university did not let the artist go that day without a standing ovation, gratitude and a gift - the rector of the Adyghe State University Daud Mamiy presented the hero of the day with a hoodie specially designed for the 85th anniversary of the university with the logo of the alma mater and wise Adyghe proverbs in two languages.
