The annual Tutor Mentoring School has ended at Adyghe State University

The Tutor School is the key platform of the university for training competent and motivated mentors. Graduates of the school become the main assistants of first-year students in adapting to the new educational environment, helping them to easily and comfortably integrate into the student community of ASU.
On the eve of the new academic year, 30 of the most active senior students from all faculties and institutes of ASU underwent intensive training to become reliable guides for first-year students in university life.
The three-day training program was intensive and comprehensive, combining theoretical knowledge and practical application. Future tutors not only got acquainted with the basics of their new role, but also practiced the key skills necessary for successful work.
The theoretical block became a fundamental guide for the participants in the world of mentoring. It included not just lectures, but an in-depth analysis of the role of a tutor, the basics of the psychology of communication and the specifics of working with first-year students. This knowledge base will allow our students to become truly competent and reliable guides.
The practical part of the program was as interactive as possible. Future mentors took part in specialized training, a business game, a quest and group work. These formats were aimed at developing skills of effective communication, team building, conflict resolution and increasing self-confidence.

Following the intensive course, all 30 participants successfully passed the final assessment and received certificates confirming their readiness to support first-year students in the new academic year.
The organization and holding of the School was provided by a large team of 35 people, including employees of the youth policy department, as well as experienced tutors from previous years.
