The educational campaign "Adyghe dictation"has been held at the Adyghe State University
Participants of the fifth International educational campaign "Adyghe dictation" dedicated to the Day of the Adyghe language and Writing and the 100th anniversary of the linguist, professor of the Adyghe State University Zeynab Kerasheva were 350 people.
Online and offline dictation was written in Adygheya, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, Stavropol and Krasnodar Territories, Moscow and Turkey.
The text of the dictation dedicated to Zeynab Kerasheva with a volume of 200 words was written by her student, Candidate of Historical Sciences, associate professor of the Faculty of Adyghe Philology and Culture Mira Unarokova.
The dictation was written on the same site at the Faculty of Adyghe Philology and Culture. Online and live on the ASU YouTube channel. The text was also read in a live broadcast by the head of the radio broadcasting service of the All-Russian State TV and Radio Company "Adygheya" Susanna Khachemizov. In full-time format, 50 people became participants of the action. They wrote at the Faculty of Adyghe Philology and Culture of the University. Also, 30 students from Adygheya wrote a dictation in Moscow at the site of the partner university of the Higher School of Economics.
The dean of the Faculty of Philology and Culture Nuriyet Hamerzokova noted: "Dictation is written at will, anonymously, specifying your pseudonym or putting a symbol to find out your result after checking. The results will be posted on the faculty's website. The works are evaluated as "excellent" and "good". The rest of the papers indicate the number of spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors so that the participants can check themselves."
For the first time, "Adyghe dictation" was held in Adygea in 2019 in full-time mode. The purpose of the campaign is to increase the literacy of the popularization of the native language as a means of communication, preservation of traditional culture and ethnic identity of the Adyghe people.
Since 2020 , the campaign has been held with the support of the International Circassian Association . Participants have written it in the Adyghe literary, Kabardian and Circassian languages.
Zeynab Kerashevoy (1923 -1998) was a Soviet and Russian linguist, kavkazologist and public figure. She is the first woman in Adygheya - Doctor of Philology (1969), Professor (1970), Honored Scientist of the RSFSR (1982) and the Republic of Adygea (1993). She has researched the current problems of modern linguistics, described the grammatical structure of the Adyghe language. Zeynab Kerasheva is a co-author of the Explanatory Dictionary and the Grammar of the Adyghe Language. Her works are a significant contribution to the Adyghe and Caucasian linguistics.
