Adyghe State University 'Science Around' Project Nominated for Russia’s Prestigious Educational Award

79 representatives of Adygea, including scientists and teachers of the Adyghe State University, became nominees for the fifth, anniversary season of the All-Russian educational award "Knowledge.Award". The main educational award of the country was established by the Russian Society "Knowledge" to recognize the achievements of teachers, lecturers, authors, bloggers and popularizers of science. In total, more than 18.7 thousand applications from 89 regions of Russia and 40 countries of the world were received this year. A large-scale project of the Adyghe State University "Science Around", implemented with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia,

became a prominent representative of the Republic of Adygea in the prestigious nomination "For Contribution to Education in the Field of Science and Technology" . The project successfully combines three key areas: visiting science festivals for schoolchildren, a series of online lessons and an extensive media library of video lectures. Its main goal is to form a holistic scientific picture of the world in children and adolescents, an interest in mathematics, natural sciences and IT, as well as respect for the profession of a scientist.

 In 2024, more than 16 thousand schoolchildren from 13 countries took part in face-to-face science festivals. Over 240 thousand people watched online lessons. The number of views of video lectures in the media library exceeded 4 million. Leading Russian scientists and popularizers of science, such as Alexey Savvateev, Dmitry Vibe and Artem Oganov, joined the project. In addition to the ASU project, the republic is represented in the same nomination by an innovative VR atlas of human anatomy developed by the Polaris-Adygea Regional Center. By November, the expert council will select a shortlist of nominees. The winners of the award will be announced at a ceremony in 2026. Also this season, regional award ceremonies will be held for the first time, where the best educator and the best project of the year in the Republic of Adygea will be determined.
