Students from 40 countries study at Adyghe State University. For over a decade, the university has hosted the Festival of National Cultures—a vibrant celebration of friendship and cultural diversity that brings together students from around the world.
The festival program traditionally features a diverse array of scientific and cultural events. Each year, the organizers provide students with a unique opportunity to explore and celebrate the rich traditions, vibrant cultures, and delicious cuisines from Russia and around the globe. This year, the festival proudly showcased the diverse heritage of Russia, Abkhazia, Armenia, Afghanistan, Belarus, Zambia, Israel, Cameroon, Syria, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, highlighting the beauty of cultural exchange and international unity.
This year, the festival held at the university from November 5th to 7th brought together a vibrant range of events celebrating cultural diversity. It featured a thought-provoking roundtable discussion titled "Intercultural Dialogue and Ethnic Self-Identification of Youth in the Context of Globalization," organized by the ASU Student Scientific Society. Attendees also enjoyed a captivating fashion show showcasing ethnic-inspired collections from the ASU DeLuxe Student Fashion Theater. The festival continued with a concert-presentation celebrating global cultures under the theme "Diverse Yet United" along with an exhibition titled "National Cuisines of the World," highlighting culinary traditions from around the globe.
The final day proved to be the most vibrant and eventful of the festival. The concert titled "Diverse Yet United" took center stage in the concert hall, showcasing the rich traditions, music, and dance cultures from around the world. Following the performance, the "National Cuisines of the World" tasting exhibition offered guests an immersive experience into diverse culinary traditions. Attendees had the chance to sample and savor culinary masterpieces expertly prepared by students from various departments, celebrating the unity and diversity of global flavors.
