Strategic Reengineering Workshop at Adyghe State University: Shaping the Future of Technological Leadership

A project session was conducted at Adyghe State University, focused on reengineering the institution's core development processes in alignment with its new strategic goal—attaining technological leadership. The session was attended by department heads, leaders of research and educational programs, and representatives from the university's project teams.

The project session was organized into a series of sequential steps, encompassing strategic analysis and change planning. Participants were assigned the task of conducting a thorough inventory of the university's current state for the period 2021–2025, identifying key transformation directions through 2026, and outlining development prospects extending through 2028.

During the project, participants analyzed current results and existing practices, envisioned the university of the future, identified existing development tools, outlined mechanisms that should be discontinued, and proposed innovative management and organizational solutions. The work was conducted in thematic groups, each responsible for a specific strategic area.

The first group concentrated on educational policy issues. Participants discussed the development of modern educational programs, enhancing the practice-oriented nature of education, and cultivating competencies that are in demand within the technology-driven economy.

The second group focused on research policy and innovation development. Special emphasis was placed on research commercialization and strengthening universities' collaborations with industrial partners.

The third session centered on human capital management, emphasizing strategies for attracting and retaining talented faculty and researchers, developing human resources, and cultivating new professional competencies among university staff. 

The fourth group concentrated on enhancing the university's management system, addressing issues related to increasing managerial efficiency, streamlining process coordination, and implementing modern management tools.

The project groups' findings were presented to an invited expert, Denis Ponomarev, CEO of Trivium and a representative of the Skolkovo Moscow School of Management. The expert evaluated the proposed solutions and development directions, offering valuable recommendations for further refinement of the university's strategic plan.

This project session signified a crucial step in the development of Adyghe State University's long-term growth strategy, as well as in the formulation of management decisions aimed at enhancing the university's competitiveness and its contribution to the technological advancement of the region and the country.
