ASU Educational Psychologists Pioneering Innovative Methods for Teaching the History of Religions in Kazan

Faculty members from the Department of Pedagogy and Social Psychology of the Faculty of Social Technologies and Tourism at Adyghe State University participated in a scientific and methodological school for young teachers on the course "History of Religions in Russia." The educational intensive course was held in Kazan at the Volga Region State University of Physical Education, Sports, and Tourism. Department Assistant Dana Khashkhova and Laboratory Assistant Daria Zherdeva participated in the program .

The event was organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Russian Academy of Education. During the intensive course, participants examined key aspects of teaching a discipline aimed at developing a holistic understanding of Russia's cultural and spiritual heritage in young people.

The school's program included a discussion of modern methods for organizing educational activities that go beyond traditional lecture formats. Special attention was paid to issues of state-confessional relations and their reflection in the content of educational programs. Teachers learned practical tools for increasing student motivation to study the history and culture of the peoples of Russia.

Participation in the intensive course allowed representatives of the Department of Pedagogy and Social Psychology to expand their methodological arsenal in terms of educational work.

"For us as educational psychologists, it was crucial to understand how to convey the values ​​of respect for the culture and traditions of the peoples of Russia through our disciplines," noted Dana Khashkhova.

The competencies acquired during the school will be applied in organizing the educational process and educational activities at the Department of Pedagogy and Social Psychology of ASU.
