Successful Conclusion of The Big Mathematical Workshop at ASU

The results of the fourth Big Mathematical Workshop were summarized at Adygea State University. The project was implemented jointly by ASU, Novosibirsk State University, and the Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok.

Over the course of two weeks, students worked on four case studies from industry partners, developing solutions under the guidance of experienced mentors, and also attended lectures and master classes, participated in business games, and participated in reflective sessions.

Student teams worked on the following projects: optimization of bank branch operating hours (client — Sovcombank Technologies LLC ); development of an automated system for monitoring and accounting of incoming raw materials arriving by rail (client — EuroChem-BMU LLC ); design of a microhydroelectric power station for mountainous and foothill areas (client — ASU Renewable Energy Sources Laboratory ); creation of a geographic information system for operational monitoring of emergency situations and planning of repairs in the Maikop power supply system (client — Maikopskaya TPP LLC ).

The final stage of the workshop was the presentation of the developed solutions to partners.

"The clients were satisfied with all the submitted projects. The participants demonstrated a creative approach to solving the assigned tasks, proposing original technical and software solutions , " commented Victoria Buchatskaya, Director of the Institute of Exact Sciences and Digital Technologies at ASU .

All projects will undergo further development: based on the results of their work, participants will prepare and publish scientific articles.
