50 ASU Academic Group Curators Complete Comprehensive Pre-Semester Training

Adyghe State University (ASU) hosted a School for Academic Group Curators, bringing together 50 participants—university faculty and staff members who will assume the role of academic group curators starting September 1. The event was organized as part of the "Friendly University" project under the Priority 2030 development program.

During the school's program, senior university administrators briefed future curators on the most critical aspects of their responsibilities. ASU Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Social Affairs, Rustam Shkhachemukov, presented the key priorities of youth policy development at the university. In his address, he focused on the organizational framework of the university's youth policy, scholarship support mechanisms for students, as well as targeted support measures for students participating in the Special Military Operation (SVO), students whose relatives are serving in the SVO zone, and student families. A comprehensive calendar of youth policy events for the first semester of the new academic year was also presented.

Nadezhda Ilyinova, Director of the Educational Policy Department at ASU, provided a detailed overview of the organization of the educational process, outlined the mechanisms for curator interaction with academic departments, and emphasized the importance of monitoring student academic progress. Fatima Tlekhatuk, Head of the International Student Services Department, and Fatima Shnakhova, Acting Head of the Visa Department, delivered an in-depth presentation on the support infrastructure for international students.

Participants of the School received up-to-date information and were given the opportunity to engage in productive discussions on pressing issues related to student engagement and integration in the upcoming academic year
