Art-Riton: Celebrating Music
In terms of celebration, Art-Riton is a regular feast. Our very own Student Musical Theatre ready to take on profound Greek tragedies (“Prometheus”), Shakespearian dramas (“Romeo and Juliet”), intriguing personalities (“Don Giovanni”, “Mozart”), the whole list is quite impressive.
But the attraction lies not in numbers alone. The true magic are the voices of the singers and the grace of the dancing troupes, enhancing the full spectra of human emotions – the divine, the prodigal, and everything in between.
The atmosphere of the time and the place is both recreated and acted out to near perfection – if that is not a glowing example of talent and dedication, I don’t know what is. The costumes alone, with their rich fabrics, jewel colors and unique patterns can make teenage fashionistas heads spin. I could go on for hours, but this is a case where seeing (and hearing!) is believing.
