The team of the strategic project of the Adyghe State University "Adygea - Territory of Health" of the "Priority 2030" program developed the program "Prevention of Professional Burnout of RA Teachers". One of its tasks is to form a healthy psychological climate in the team, support the mental health of employees, encourage a healthy lifestyle and improve the working conditions of teaching staff. The testing of the program started with yoga classes for teachers of the project's pilot schools. Taking into account the specifics of the professional employment of teachers, mainly the low level of physical training, as well as age differentiation, sets of physical exercises were developed that did not require special physical training.
The hormonal yoga exercise complex is designed for women. It will help teachers reduce emotional stress, relieve signs of mental fatigue, and increase performance. Classes are taught by Olga Kabayan, PhD in Pedagogical Sciences and Associate Professor at ASU. After the introductory class, teachers may come to classes every Tuesday and Thursday from 18.30 to 20.00.
-In the future, it is planned to expand the methods of preventing professional burnout. Teachers will master breathing exercises, meditation techniques, autogenic training, relaxation methods and self-massage. Also, as part of the project, teachers will undergo a refresher course on the general theory of deviance and professional burnout, master art therapy techniques and take part in a number of preventive trainings. Undoubtedly, the proposed and applied methods help reduce physical and emotional fatigue, increase mental performance and solve the problem of professional burnout. And the resource of physical activity will allow you to feel the health effect in a short time, - said the head of the project "Adygea - Territory of Health", professor of ASU Maria Paatova.
In addition, teachers of pilot schools have access to free sessions at the Center for Psychological Support for Students of the Adyghe State University. Reception is possible every Wednesday from 17.00 to 18.00.
The intercluster project "Adygea - Territory of Health" was launched at Adygea State University in 2022. Its goal is to popularize a healthy lifestyle, strengthen the health of Adygea residents, promote national security in the field of healthcare in the long term and reduce economic losses from socially significant diseases in the republic, and create an environment in the region that is attractive for life, work, recreation and health improvement. The project includes sports, educational and popular science events, in which not only university employees and students, but also various organizations and departments of the republic take part.
