A New Era of Collaboration Between Adyghe State University and Herzen State Pedagogical University
The partner universities will primarily focus on developing joint educational and research programs, enhancing the quality of the educational process and scientific activities, and organizing joint competitions, Olympiads, and festivals.
The agreement delineates the cooperation between universities in the fields of education and science, facilitating joint scientific research, educational programs, academic exchanges of specialists and students, the implementation of collaborative projects, and the organization of scientific-practical and scientific-methodological conferences, along with other pertinent events.
-A strategic vision for the cooperation agreement, along with the development of specific measures and projects in which students and faculty will engage, is the direction we must pursue. Our objective is to jointly create opportunities that cater to their scientific aspirations and foster an increased interest in science,- stated Daud Mamiy, the rector of ASU.
Rector of the Herzen State Pedagogical University, Sergei Tarasov, emphasized that the contemporary education system, particularly within the pedagogical specialty, necessitates decisions that not only foster a comprehensive understanding of the subject but also enhance the profession's prestige.
-It is essential for future specialists to be aware of their career prospects and to chart a trajectory for professional growth. Understanding and integration into this system are paramount objectives of the 21st century. We must make every effort to prepare specialists who will improve the quality of life in their communities,- he remarked.
Herzen University has a longstanding tradition of training teachers and engaging with talented children, which includes the establishment of a research environment for mathematical projects. ASU is recognized as a leading center for working with gifted children in southern Russia. Initiated by ASU, several unique mathematical projects are being implemented, including the All-Russian shift "Young Mathematician" at the All-Russian Children's Center "Orlyonok," the International Caucasian Mathematical Olympiad, the South-Russian Mathematical Olympiad "Assara" for girls, and the Summer Mathematical School in Adygea. Furthermore, the student program "Modern Combinatorics and Game Theory" involves participation from schoolchildren and students across 68 regions of Russia and 17 countries worldwide. A key focus of the university's activities is the strategic project "Mathematics: A New Look," which is being carried out under the Priority-2030 program.
