Students Discover Stress Prevention Techniques Through the 'Self-Care' Program
The Adyghe State University has completed a stress prevention program for students, where participants developed skills of self-knowledge, emotional freedom and attentiveness to their mental health. This was reported by the organizers of the event - the youth association of students of ASU, the Union of Students and Postgraduates.
The project consisted of several stages, starting from identifying the participants’ core life values to analyzing their motivations and setting annual goals. The students were divided into four groups, each of which participated in yoga, meditation, art therapy, aromatherapy, and also took part in master classes. About 60 people participated in the “Self-Care” program, for each of them it became a source of inspiration and support.
The project was also held last semester during the summer session.As project manager Sofia Tuptsokova noted , the program combined a variety of stress management techniques, such as meditation, yoga, art therapy, and aromatherapy.
These approaches helped students learn to better understand themselves, manage their emotions, and maintain their mental health.The program is implemented within the framework of the academic leadership strategy “Priority-2030” , the goal of which is to form more than 100 progressive modern universities in Russia by 2030 - centers of scientific, technological and socio-economic development of the country. ForThe organisers emphasise the importance of such projects for creating a comfortable learning environment and developing healthy habits for managing one’s well-being among young people.
