On the eve of the new academic year, the university held a methodological seminar for curators of academic groups. The event, organized within the framework of the Friendly University project of the Priority program , was aimed at training student mentors and familiarizing them with key aspects of the work.

The seminar was attended by 51 curators of 1-3 courses of all faculties and institutes of ASU from among the staff and teaching staff.

The speaker was the Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Social Issues Rustam Shkhachemukov . In his speech, he covered in detail the most important areas of work:

• Structure of the university's youth policy: Strategic goals and objectives for the upcoming academic year were presented, and the role of the curator in the overall system of education and support of students was defined.

• Scholarship provision: Participants received up-to-date information on regulatory documents governing the appointment of all types of scholarships: state academic, social, scholarships of the President and the Government of the Russian Federation.

• Student support: Particular attention was paid to measures to support such categories of students as orphans, people with disabilities, as well as issues of psychological assistance to students.

An important part of the seminar was the discussion of effective interaction between curators and the university's specialized departments. Curators received clear recommendations on which structures and with what questions they should contact to promptly resolve students' problems.
