An exhibition of works by military artists from the M.B. Grekov Studio under the Russian Ministry of Defense opened at the Adyghe State University

The M. B. Grekov Studio of Military Artists is a creative organization of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, founded in 1934. It bears the name of its ideological inspirer, Mitrofan Borisovich Grekov , a talented Russian and Soviet battle painter, a student of I. E. Repin and F. A. Roubaud. Being a veteran of the First World War and the Civil War, he dreamed of creating a battle painting studio to glorify the heroic path of the Russian army.

The artists of the studio sacredly preserve the traditions laid down by the older generation who went through the Great Patriotic War, and continue to create works reflecting the most important events and life of our country.
Currently, 36 professional artists work in the Studio. The artists' personal presence in the troops, at army exercises and in hot spots provides them with the richest material for new works. Images that emphasize the beauty and wealth of our Motherland, its defenders, the memory of people and deeds that made our country great - all this is reflected in the works of the Grekovites and in the hearts of grateful viewers!
Among the works were photographs on a patriotic theme of teachers and employees of the ASU Media Center.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by the rector of ASU Daud Mamiy , the director of the Institute of Arts Fatima Tuguz, as well as teachers and students.
