The Fisht Tourist Club opened at the Maykop State Humanitarian and Technical College of ASU, following its victory in the "Sports for All" competition, a charitable program run by the Vladimir Potanin Foundation's "Power of Sports" non-profit foundation.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Adygea, Evgeny Lebedev.
A grant of 4.6 million rubles was allocated for the project. As part of the project, a ropes course was built in addition to the existing climbing wall at the Maikop State University. The club will offer free training to 120 schoolchildren aged 13-17 in Maikop.
The hiking club's program will focus on learning hiking and trekking techniques, first aid, the natural and landscape features of the native region, and acquiring practical skills in recreational tourism and survival in extreme situations. The training program is scheduled for 12 months, culminating in a hiking rally.
The Fisht Tourist Club project is being implemented with the support of the Tourism Federation of the Republic of Adygea, whose leading specialists will provide methodological support for the program's implementation and participate in various events organized by the tourist club. The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Adygea will provide informational and logistical support, and the Committee of the Republic of Adygea for Tourism and Resorts will assist in organizing the information campaign.
As a reminder, the college has been operating the "Educational Center for Tourism and Services of the Republic of Adygea" cluster since 2023, created as part of the federal "Professionalism" project. The educational institution boasts the republic's only certified climbing wall, equipped with the necessary tourist equipment and a highly qualified teaching staff. The creation of a ropes course, located on the college's outdoor grounds, will ensure year-round training for hiking and trekking enthusiasts and enhance the health benefits of the activities.
