Children's writer Anna Ignatova will conduct a master class at ASU as part of the Kirimize Janet International Children's Literary Competition. In collaboration with the Adyghe State University and the Adyghe University Publishing House, the Kirimize Janet International Children's Literary Competition is organizing a master class and creative workshop with the acclaimed Russian children's author Anna Ignatova. This event is aimed at both aspiring and experienced writers, as well as anyone involved in creating stories for children, according to the university's press service.

From April 1 to 2, a master class will be conducted featuring works by Adygean authors. The author will share the secrets of crafting engaging fairy tales, poems, and short stories for children aged 3 to 6, explain how to capture and maintain a child's attention, and respond to questions from the audience. On April 3, during a creative gathering, Anna Ignatova will read selections from her works and engage with participants in an informal setting.

The objective of the workshop is to support authors in developing vibrant, memorable stories for young children, to unlock their creative potential, and to cultivate a sense of community among children's writers.

To review their work, authors can send fairy tales, poems, and short stories for children aged 3-6 in .doc or .pdf format, along with a brief bio, to press@adygnet.ru with the subject line "Anna Ignatova" by March 10th. Poetry texts must be up to 3,000 characters long, and prose texts must be between 6,000 and 10,000 characters long. Anna will select 10-15 works for detailed review at the seminar.

Interested individuals may attend the seminar without submitting a written application. Participation is free; however, advance registration is required, which can also be completed via email with the designated subject line.
