From March 25 to April 19, the Art Gallery of the Republic of Adygea is hosting a solo exhibition by Elena Abakumova.

Elena Viktorovna Abakumova is a candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor, head of the Department of Fine Arts and Design at the Institute of Arts of Adyghe State University, chairperson of the Adyghe Republican branch of the All-Russian creative public organization "Union of Artists of Russia", and a member of the Union of Designers of Russia.

Elena Abakumova draws inspiration from nature's rich palette: from minimalist black to the world's rich hues, to radiant white, like a hummingbird—a symbol of love, joy, and beauty—drawing divine nectar from a fragrant flower in "From Black to White." In Abakumova's work, this range serves as a means of expressing the artist's inner state. Life, as she interprets it, is a cycle of black and white, pause and movement, summing up and overcoming. This is also the artist's own journey, who, through the symbolism of color and its perception, seeks to express inner experiences and connect with the viewer through the consonance of emotional states.

Elena Abakumova is a multifaceted artist who expresses herself creatively in various forms of artistic textiles. Paintings from nature inspire the artist, supporting and refreshing her sensory perception of the world through a rich palette, ranging from the subdued monochromes of "Last Year's Flowers" to the vibrant, rich hues of "Spring Flowers." This palette is also reflected in the textiles of "Parallel Worlds." The artist's rich color palette expresses a range of sensory perceptions of historical aspects, life events, natural phenomena, and objects.

Elena Viktorovna's many years of creative work have rightfully earned her the status of Honored Artist of the Republic of Adygea. She has also been awarded the Russian Federation Badge of Honor "For Achievements in Culture," the Gold Medal of the Union of Artists of Russia for "Spirituality. Traditions. Craftsmanship," and the Silver Medal of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia.
