Science popularizers competition “The Science is on the air”

The ASU Student Scientific Society has announced the launch of the science popularization competition “The Science is on the air”. The purpose of the event is to support for students’ ideas and identification of the best student projects in order to promote science among children and the youth, as well as to develop and support their research and creative potential.
Students of all courses, directions and study levels can take part in the competition, both individually and as part of a team of up to 3 people.
The competition of science popularization should be aimed at increasing of the students’ receptivity to innovation and science. It should demonstrate the world and Russian science achievements such as in interactive game formats. Also, the event will give the children the opportunity to try themselves as inventors, scientists, programmers and engineers.
The directions of the competition are:
· projects in the field of Natural sciences
· projects in the field of exact and engineer sciences
· projects if the field of social and humanitarian sciences
The project represents a detailed description of the interactive work platform for schoolchildren, taking into account the time frame of 30 minutes. A prerequisite is interactive, that is, students should actively participate in the work of site, for example, participate in the experiment or solve a problem. It is important to keep in mind that the audience of the site is schoolchildren, so the presentation should be interesting, clear and interactive.
Applications are accepted from May 18 to May 29. You should send your application for participation (appendix 1 to regulation 1) and a site project of the event for schoolchildren (appendix 2 to the regulation) to the competition committee, and a recommendation from a specialist teacher on the project topic.
The competition participants, admitted by the commission to the second stage, will present their site project in person from May 29 to June 5
The best projects and popularizers will be identified on the base of the competition results. Winners will have the opportunity to represent their site in the framework of the All-Russian ASU project “Science on the air” and as a part of science festivals in the All-Russian Children Centers “Orlyonok”, “Smena”, and other University’s events.
Winners will be awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts and the participants will receive certificates.

The competition corresponds to the objectives of the Decade of Science and Technologies project “Popularization of Science and Technologies”. The event will be held as a part of the project “Space of SSS” of the Adyghe State University’s development program “Priority 2030”.
