The session, held at the site of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, featured the participation of the Governor of the Novgorod Region, Andrei Nikitin, and the Rector of the Novgorod State University, Yuri Borovikov, as well as the head of the Lugansk People's Republic, Leonid Pasechnik, and the Rector of the Donbass State Technical University, Dmitry Vishnevsky. The head of North Ossetia, Sergei Menyailo, and the Rector of the North Ossetia State University, Alan Ogoev, also participated, along with the Rector of the Adygea State University, Daud Mamiy. Additionally, Deputy Ministers of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Olga Petrova and Airat Gatiyatov, were in attendance, as well as representatives from other regions and universities.

The discussion was moderated by HSE Rector Nikita Anisimov and University Vice-President Irina Karelina.

During the session, representatives from regional flagship universities and regional leaders shared experiences on the interaction between universities and the region, focusing on solving problems aimed at achieving scientific and technological sovereignty for the state in the "university-region-business" model.

Dr. Daud Mamiy, the Rector of ASU, discussed the university's projects implemented with the support of the republic, which focus on several key areas. These include working with talented individuals, preserving and developing the Adyghe language and culture, and promoting the Russian language abroad. He noted that these projects, undertaken in partnership with leading scientific and educational organizations from across the country, also contribute to the development of the region's brand.

"The university is a participant in the Priority 2030 program and has synchronized its strategic projects with the Republic of Adygea's development program. As part of the Apple Valley project, the university serves as a gateway for high-tech companies entering the region. In partnership with the Ministry of Education of the Republic and the Skolkovo company, we are tackling the problem of teacher shortages, which is not unique to our region, through our "Mathematics - a New Look" project. Additionally, within the framework of the "Adygea - Territory of Health" project, we are launching new educational programs in health conservation and actively developing the promising field of scientific tourism," said Daud Mamiy.

The recording of the discussion is available here.
